So Long Leonard

A quiet genius, he could pull
emotions right out of your soul,
that you never knew were there.

Somber, yet uplifting,
unrelentingly raw, yet tender,
sandpaper coated in honey,
reveling in the kind of pain
that ends in joyous rebirth.

All that’s left to say
is Hallelujah.
